Aberystwyth situated on the West coast of Wales, is one of the largest on towns on the west coast as well as a university town and administrative centre. The towns name is derived from the name Aber meaning Mouth and Ystwyth, being the river running out to the sea. the Promenade with its Victorian houses and vistas out to sea makes for a pleasant walk where the climate is relatively mild due to its west facing position and benefiting from the warmer waters of the Gulf stream. Local attractions include the electric cliff railway and the Victorian camera obscurer on the nearby Constitution Hill.
